| | Hi I'm New | ron Hello all,
Just joined so had better introduce myself! I am mainly into boats and static are my top interest, though have got a couple that cry out to be motorised and will be soon!
I will be asking quite soon a question about a diorama but in the meantime, will spend a little while looking over this site.

Ron. | I've only been a member a few months now
So since there seems to be no official greeting commity, let me say greetings. I've done a few ship models myself, but am mainly into sculpting miniture figures and building model trains and Hawaiian sailing vessels.
I've done a few diaramas so looking forward to your next post.

Hi Rkapuaala,
Strange not to have an official greeter but there goes it.
The diorama will involve one of my boats - The Will Everard 1:67 scale 58 cm long 12 high wide 49 high - double planked hull but first I want to weather it. I have not done this before and considering the hours involved, I want to get it right!! Will try on another, older boat first. The diorama will consist of said boat, a harbour and a train section (working), with all houses, shops etc. Only a rough plan so far but hope to try and create water effect with resin. Once strated, will start posting here.

| Hi Richard and Ron, We have never set up an official greeting system but simply rely on one of the moderators adding a brief greeting in reply to the first post. The numbers of new joiners who never post a message makes the value of greeting everyone who joins questionable but I know other forums who do this so maybe the team here could consider it.
Anyway, if it hasn't been said welcome to both of you. We look forward to sharing some of your own experiences and seeing what you get up to and hope that you find something useful amongst our own archives.
Most of all enjoy your time here.

| Hi Ron, I'd like to see some shots of the diorama you are putting together when you can. The plank on frame boat sounds interesting.
