The name is Rob and I am a bit of novice at this Forum thing so please be gentle with me if I get it wrong from time to time (got told off on another forum for making silly remarks!). My model interest is boats but my other hobby is renovating old fishing reels and my main reason for joining your happy band is for advice about lathes. That will do for now, catch you later. Rob

Hi rob22rich. Welcome to the forums here. You'll find plenty of howto's and advice on practically any type of " thing" that can be built! Please read the forum rules carefully to ensure that no one gets hurt

Hi Rob
I got a lathe 6 months ago, which I'm quite happy with, but still waiting for the Metric leadscrew I ordered/paid for at that time so I cannot recomend the Company - in the tooling/advice section aj8155 offered to give advice so you could try there. I found a site Getting Started which I found useful
