Well, Hi there.

Well what do I say about myself??

I always have trouble introducing myself on a variety of forums. My interests are varied and many but you don't want to hear about those. Your only interested in my interest of scale models.

Well lets just say I'm a projects man. I start a project and rarely finish it. I have a model hovercraft that has been sitting in bits for little over 6 years. A model railway that has been eternally in the planning stage, despite wild ideas and a whole bunch of track. Though the great track laying is due to commence soon, probably this week now I have all the track I need. I also have numerous sprue kits lying around too. Oh and lets not forget models for table top fantasy wargaming! A few of those have lost the battle of my projects list. Model seige engines too, I have one of those lying around.

I can hear you screaming Why, Oh Why do you do this? Don't deny it, I know you are. Well the answer is simple! I'm the type of guy that rapid bursts of inclination to do things, sudden desires to try something else. Unfortunatly my desires rarely match up to my bank account and I quickly run out of resources and I go back to the planning stage, read my books and lament. By the time funds have been found a new desire has wormed it way into my brain and the old project is shelved, only to be tinkered with when old sparks are fired!

Unfortunatly you will all be unwitting pawns in my bizzare wander through my many and various hobbies as I seek out advice. I shall ask banal questions and you'll shall answer. That's if you don't mind, not forcing anyone. Just would be nice. Pretty pretty please.

I have new project on the horizion and that is how I stumbled upon this group. I shall place my request in the appropriate place when I find it.

Thanks for reading and please pity the pathetic young man for he is weak willed and cheese minded!

Hi Kinetic and welcome to the Forums,

I don't think you are alone in your madness either, I suspect there are several of us on here (myself included) who all have various projects in mind that have never quite reached completion. It's a very tempting hobby I must admit but even better so when you get to the stage where you decide you WILL complete a project - thats when you get the most satisfaction out of it.

I have spent many years building r/c models for other people and eventually realised I was missing something and that was not having my own models to enjoy using myself. So there was the first milestone - me having a model for me to enjoy.

Please feel free to ask away with any questions you may have and do check out the forums too as we may have already covered what you are looking for.

Regards........Mark
