Hi there..
I am an absolute novice at model making and particularly the painting of plastic models.
I have recently purchased a Revell 1:36 Offshore Powerboat kit, It is supplied with decals howerver I wish to create a replica of the Miami Vice 38KV wellcraft scarab as seen in the 80's TV series.
The kit was originally releashed in the 80's with the Miami Vice Rep decals so no painting was required. However, thers kits are now pretty rare (and expensive) so I have opted for the much cheaper recent release kit and will have to paint the model in the Miami Vice colours.
I can imagine that this is not an easy task given the paint design of the MV boat?
Are there any modellers out there who would be willing to give any advice or even take on the challenge themselves for a reasonable fee? (I really don't want to make a mess of it!)
Also, I will be looking for a couple of suitably scaled model figures to go in the boat as non eare supplied with the kit. Any suggestions on where to find those would be greatly appreciated.
