Edinburgh Model Boat Club

Old Club ... new Web site !
The Club has been around since the 1920's and covers all types of RC boat models. It is one of only a few remaining clubs that can accept IC models on their water. Great water for RC yachts as well.

Nice site ... some useful stuff and loads of excellent pikkies & well worth a visit.
Tug owners take heed ..

A number of Fun Day events, open to visitors as well.
Well done to AJG141 for all his hard work

So whose got a red face then ...

Sorry to have to advise everyone who has expressed interest in attending the event scheduled for Sunday 17th September - but we are having to postpone this. You will be aware that we had hoped to run it on the Union Canal at the Lochrin Basin venue but the volume of narrowboat traffic and the width of the canal at this point would provide insurmountable difficulties.
It is our hope to re-schedule the event for later depending on the length of time it takes to re-fill Inverleith. Water has started to flow back in to help establish the new reed beds but we suspect it could be well into October before the pond itself has sufficient water for sailing.
In the meantime our normal Sunday 'free sailing' sessions will continue at Lochrin.

Best of luck Andrew with your plans, and feel free to publish any updates here.
Just wish that I was a little closer to come and visit your boating area.
