| Googlemap I just got a pm from Barry about adding a map, and the really strange thing is I was just looking at something simular, if you look on the navbar you will notice Googlemap, here you can add your lattitude and longitude coordinates by zooming in on the map and finding where you live, this actully goes right down to street level, I know that most people won't want to put that much detail in but just your town would be fine then we have an idea where everyone comes from.

| John this is uncanny, just added myself to the map,by the way it is exactly the same map as Google Earth, the strips denote the really detailed areas that have been already detail mapped from the air,you can go right down to your back yard if you want to in Leeds which has good coverage,I can see cars in driveways even, but Warwick is not so good for detail.
Have a go everyone and get your pin on the map,as John says you only need to put the town,if you really need to get your lonitude and latitude co-ordinates exactly then go to Multimap first,if you place your post code there it will automatically show your exact co-ordinates.

| Even though this facility is accessible through the forum it is just as powerfull as GoogleEarth itself.
Very interesting and it will be nice to see where people live. John could we put a shortcut to it in the new members sign up page? |

| Phenomenal accuracy Hello all, I might as well have put the pin prcisely on my shed/workshop The accuracy is fantastic. Now you can see why I like boats as I look out onto the shipping lane serving Aberdeen harbour connecting to the rest of Europe and the Baltic Sea.
cheers

| *** Jim,you lucky thing,if I lived where you are I would have a huge telescope set up to look out to sea,I would then sketch the ships and make watercolour drawings of them, what a paradise, instead I live right under Birminghams approach when the airliners fly in from the South, and look at the beautiful colourschemes through a pair of binoculars, make the most of it,how wonderful. | I'll just add that I've added my marker to the map as well. although they've got the map slightly wrong for round here.
