SX976 was an Avro Lincoln. The Lincoln has always been my favourite aircraft since we lived at RAF Lindholme in the early 60's. RAF Lindholme was the home of No.1 BCBS - one of the last users of Lincolns.
I chose SX976 as a handle in memory of my Dad's cousin Louis who sadly lost his life in this aircraft :
