any idea why?
***The PVA glue will not actually stick to the plastic canopy as it does not dissolve the material as plastic cement does, what it does is form a fillet bead, what I suggest you do is apply a bit more and just allow the adhesive to dry throughly until it turns clear, the canopy will then sit in the dried adhesive,if you want to improve the adhesion without damaging the canopy just apply a thin coat of Johnsons Klear to the base of the canopy, you can get a big bottle from the floor polishes section of your supermarket, what happens then is the PVA will cling to the Klear and give a better bond,so remember you are not glueing the canopy just holding it nicely in place with the non plastic attacking PVA.

"R/C Modellers Glue" from DeLuxe Materials is white glue that dries clear and is a bit more grabby than the white PVA wood glue. It is also waterbased and surplus can be washed off with a damp cloth before it air-dries to a flexible "rubbery" clear . Overnight drying , taped to prevent movment essential. It is flexible when dry. Used a lot on flying models. I`m certain The Model Shop ,in the Market stock it , or try Dingwall model Shop.

Iain,If you are at the Loch Insh Splash-in this Sat and Sunday Scoonie Hobbies mobile model shop will be there. Weather set fair , 21st event should be some interesting R/C model seaplanes and flying-boats there if you are interested. 6 miles south of Aviemore, near Kingcraig.

*** To make a brush case get hold of a piece of cardboard tube, stick this to a piece of wood as the base,or if you like those Pringles crisps just use the tube that they come in !
