i believe doing a search might help( in the top right hand side of your screen) wonwinglo has done many tutorials, and a few on vac form`s especially.

*** You are in luck Charlotte as I did a tutorial fairly recently on building vacforms, here is the direct link for you- http://www.wonwinglo.scale-models.net/id20.htm
Any questions then fire away, you should find most of the information that you need to produce your C-5 Galaxy within the article.

One thought Charlotte is that with a model the size of your Galaxy you would need a very large sanding sheet, due to the physical size of the vac-formed components, instead of doing this just cut up to the marker lines with the Olfa cutter, snap off and then with a sanding block carefully sand the edges best that you can,the trick then is to stick pieces of plastikard all around the parts so that you get a lip onto which the other side can be added, run a line of 'Mek' ( use outside as it is nasty smelling stuff and best not breathed in ) all around the joint and the plastic will then be welded together,it is then an easy job to sand and fill the join line.
Dont forget to add plenty of internal formers using the plastercine technique shown in the tutorial,or better still get a carpet fitters tool, these have multi prongs that push into corners replicating the shape, you can get them from those pound shops.
