| For any modellers that live in west scotland... Who would like to see a couple of model kits of the P.S. Waverley, and various other west coast vessels? E.G. The Isle of Lewis vessel would make a nice model. You may already be able to buy these models, so, if so, please tell me where I can get them as I have been brought up 'on the water' and I love it very much. (thus like collecting scottish models) |

| Back to Bod's post,
I think the Waverley would be a nice subject to do, Traplet have the plans for this in their range.
I saw the real one in Holyhead a few years ago when I was living up that way. I heard she was in and managed to get to the Harbour just in time to see her casting off and departing. A fantastic sight and I was very impressed with her speed too. Sadly I did not have my camera with me, mind you it was getting dark as she was leaving......I was just grateful at having had the opportunity to see this Magnificent Vessel.
Regards.....Mark.

| I have found a series of models of various clyde steamers in the Glasgow Transport Museam shop. However, the model of the PS Waverley was sold out, and at the till, they told me they wouldnt be making any more. |

| As for seeing the real Waverley, recently, various changes have been made, and her deckhouses are now painted the original brown. THe interior has been changed somewhat extensively, and the rear deckhouse now plays host to a comfortable tearoom. |
