Howdy Itsa,

I often order from Squadron, they are a retailer from Carrolton, Tx, they claim to have over 2 million dollars worth of models in stock. I looked up the German 88 by tamiya in 1:35 scale in my catalog and found it for $25.96 It comes with 9 figures and The company mails all orders out the same day they are recieved, it usually takes 2 days after ordering for it to get to me so it should be about the same for you.
You can see it at this link: http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=tm35017 . You can also order there too. They accept most major credit cards. I would normally post an image, but it tells me they are all copyrighted and wont let me copy it.
I have ordered over $300.00 worth of models from them in the last month and ordered even more from them thru the yrs, they are a good reputable company. With great service.

Hope this helps,

Have a good day,

Greg aka GW

ps. you can download a .pdf of their catalog at their home page, www.squadron.com They also ship internationally.
another good site is www.hobbytown.com

I used to drool over this kit when I was a youngster. The grat attraction for me was always that it made such a stunning diorama as the gun could be displayed in the deployed mode with all the crew around it.

If I remember correctly (it was a while ago!) it could also be displayed with the 1/35th half track kit which was used to pull the gun.

Thanks Richard for the model number and thanks greg for the link. i kinda of have in mind building four of these and placing them in a setup much like the setup that the 101st air born against in normandy, it is shown in a mini series that was on t.v. here in the states "Band Of Brothers" im not sure if it would have aired in the U.K. hope that the description helps with what im am trying to do witht this diorama.

Howdy Itsa,

Well if you have never ordered anything from Squadron, I would just like to say that they have some of the lowest prices I have found.
Like I said earlier in this thread, they claim to have over $2 million worth of merchandise in stock.
Hobby shops like the small "Hobbytown" franchises order from them and resale the mechandise, or atleast I know the one in Little Rock, Arkansas does.
I know used to they would automatically send you a catalog with your first order, but if you will email them (and hope alot of people dont do this at the same time), and just ask them for a catalog and explain that you build "X" amount of dollars worth of models per yr, they may just send you one to get your business.
this yrs catalog I got by for free just by telling them that I was a former customer from back in the 1990's (which I was, and I spent thousands of dollars with them when I was married).
I just figured up what I have spent with them in the last two months and its already over $500.00 (Of course I am single now lol I wonder why lol).
Oh, before I forget why I was posting this lol, tey offer all sorts of figures, accessories like sandbags, barbed wire, tank barriers etc in 1:35 scale too which are great for diaromas. They also sale metal barrels for tanks, photo etched parts etc...
Ok, I have rambled on enough,

Have a good day,

Greg aka GW
