Other Models Thread, Is Hasegawa Best Model of typhoon 1/48 Scale in Modelling; is this the best kit for this model
is it accurate and does it have the 4 blade propeller ?
...
and as you can see....3 blade prop which i thought the typhoon had anyway, not 4??
edit:
typhoon did only have 3 blades anyway (see attachment)
Hasegawa do make lovely kits, the plastic is a good quality and the details are usually superb. Also hasegawa seems to be the kits with the most after-market parts made for them so if you want to add resin, p/e, white metal or different decals im sure they can be found!
Timberland, Lincs: Nassau, Bahama's: Port Canaveral, USA: and all points in between.

First of all David a very warm welcome to the Scale Models forum. I hope that you find us a freindly group, willing to have a chat and share a few ideas and I hope that you find something usefull in the resources we have amassed over time.
Feel free to post your own experiences and pictures as and when you like.
As for the Typhoon, I'm afraid i'm not really qualified to answer, never having had the experience of one, but there are plenty here who are!
The only Typhoon I ever built was the old Airfix 1/72nd one!!
ok well you are bothered about the amount of blades the prop has and want to make the later models with 4 blades but cant find a kit with it it may be worth trying to find a kit of the later models. if not just either go with the hasegawa (as they are lovely kits) and leave it with 3 blades or look for a resin part for it with 4 blades. If you cant find one there are loads of companies that make custome resin parts so for a price you can be a happy chappy
i will let some one else point you in the direction of a custom resin company as i have never delt with them
hope all that makes sense
hope you come to a desision. Make sure you let us know how the model comes along and post pictures!!
well unless anyone else on here can help you i would say getting the hasegawa kit and getting a custom built prob (or even making a resin one yourself if you have the means to do so) is the only option if you want it with 4 blades!
