      The MK48 LVS complete

Here is the complete combo of the MK48 that I started a while back. If you all remember I had only done the tractor. Now, it's complete with the trailer: Hope you all like it. Thanks for looking:

      Howdy Tiking,

All I can say is WOW! That is simply a beautiful model, one that is of museum quality. I remember seeing the MAN Tractor weeks ago in the forum and thought it was amazing, but I am really impressed with the detail of the overall model. The hydraulic hoses in the back of the tractor, the "hand painted" numbers on the tail of the trailer, again.....WOW! I have a Howitzer 2000 (german self propelled howitzer), a Multiple rocket launch system (MRLS) and a Paladin self propelled howitzer that I am working on, all in 1:35 scale. Its been some time since I worked on Armored vehicles so I am just hoping I can come to within even a fraction of what you have done with this model. Your detailing is just really unreal, it looks like you could hop in and drive the thing off.

Keep up the good work and now I am going to go look around in your gallery.

      have a good day,

      Greg

Before I read Greg's post all i could think was Wow and I also was particularly impressed with the cables and hydraulic hoses on the back of the tractor.

I really enjoy looking at models that have been tastefully and realistically weathered and this model has it spot on. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.

Thanks everyone. you're all too kind. I'm glad you approve of the outcome of the overall look of this machine. Much appreciated. The model has been placed in my glass case with the rest. So no museum will be recieving this unless they would like to...

Anyway thanks again. My next model will be a Clam shell mobile radar. Now that's a beast. In 1/35 the mast is about 65cm tall. So you can imagine the trailer this this thing sits on. Ooch!!! So I'll be resizing it to about 1/60 which equals to about 40cm in height. We'll see how this works out.

Charles take a well earned bow, your model is simply stunning, and I gree with Bunkers, the weathering is spot on,the way that the hydraulic runs have been executed looks most convincing.
This is certainly a museum quality model worthy of any showcase, enjoy it at home.

      Charles,
A very stunning model and very definitely worthy of a museum showcase if you ask me, the attention to detail right down to the hoses and connections is spot on and very definitely worthy of the WOW factor.

Keep up the good work and I am sure the next project will be just as good, let's see the pics as soon as you have them !!

      Regards......Mark.
