A couple of older models just before I scraped them

Here are some earlier builds that I did but wasn't completely satisfied with them. So I took them apart and decided to scrap them or maybe rebuild some parts. We'll see. I've put them in my scrap box anyhow.

I always used to keep models no matter how good or bad they were as a learning reference. I could always be reminded of the things that worked well and the things that didn't that way.

The only time numbers were reduced was when my parents complained that there were too many and then they would be given by the carrier bag load to neighbouring kids to play with, chuck out of bedroom windows etc.

As always everyone has thier own standards and what may be a disaster for you may have been a superb result for someone else.

They are still nice models , shame you didn't like them.

Charles,I know this is a personal choice but I think you should have kept them, many times I have been tempted to scrap off a few older models, the ones that I have done have regretted it ever since, they are not only a virtual history of your own building methods but a vital link with past kits.
There are times when I see scrapped parts in my boxes, and think why did I do that ?
Pack them up safely, and place them in the loft or elsewhere, one day you will discover these treasures and possibly rebuild some.
Just the way that I see things ?

Thanks guys for your comments. I havn't completely scraped everything yet, except for the first humvee with the mk19 gun mount. That is gone. The other humvee will be used for another humvee project which is up and coming soon. The gatling gun is kitbashed/scratchbuilt but there is one that Hobby Fan is offering. THe only reason I decided to build my was that was expensive. Try $150 dollars. Well, that was a year or two ago. It maybe cheaper now.

Tiking,

Can't see why you are scrapping them, they are both an excellent bit of work and very nicely presented too...as the pics show very nicely. I would certainly be proud of that.

Keep them both...!!!

Regards........Mark.
