WW2 Diorama

Ok, this is a diorama of a crashed plane that i made with my younger sister, she made thoe models and the diesing, but i did the base and the figures. The base is actually for a rally car im working on, but its beinbg used as a temp. base for her scene.

Please comment.

I think the best part about this is the fact that you made it with your sister!! We need more girls involved in our hobby so all credit to her for taking such an active role in this project.

I think the one thing you could do to really enhance the diorama is to use some textures on the ground such as 'flocking' and 'lichen' to simulate grasses and bushes. Have a look at the railway modell suppliers for these.

The road could be taken to a whole new level by using fine gravel as a surface. Simply paint on a coat of PVA glue and sprinkle some fine gravel or sand onto it. When the glue has dried shake the excess off and you will have a very much more realistic finish.

Playing around with a few simple texturers such as these will enhance your model tremendously.

Apart from that I think the setting and composition is excellent.

Euan, very imaginative diorama that, the aircraft looks as if it dived in at some velocity ? in fact so badly damaged that it is hard to recognise it.
I also like the use of the excellent Airfix vehicles, the Queen Mary lorry is a firm favourite of mine and you have made a good job of painting a difficult subject especially with all of the latticework structure.
Once again this highlights to us that Airfix gave us some real fun model subjects with which to work on and make into scenes like this one.
So I say well done lads and lasses,I really like the ingenuity shown.
