Sd Kfz 2 NSU Kettenkrad 1:25 Modelik
Another build starts.
I'm going to try to build the Nsu Kettenkrad.

And as lucky I am I have got some prototype tracks from Rafal at DrafModel to try out on this model.

So the build starts.

The tires are nice to start with.

Parts for the front tire


One tire


So I started in the rear end with the trailer
The frame of 1mm karton


Next was the outer skin


Skinned outside and inside
And I have started on the outside details as fenders,light etc


More tomorrow...

Back at work again after a week skiing in the mountains
Had a wonderful winter holiday!

Did some more work on the NSU tonight.
The hull is ready,just some details here and there before I start building the
wheels ans tracks.

Looks excellent Johnny. I have never had much success with card models. Just not a medium I get along with! I think you need more finesse than I have! Can I ask how you made the trailer cover? Is it a kit part or your own thing? FG

The trailer cover is made of a sheet of some goggle cleaning paper,doubled and painted on both sides.
The original was not looking very good, so I made this one instead.

Today I found out that I wanted to try to make some tracks.....

Each link contains 5 parts, and in this size they are small and fragile
The links are 7,5mm wide...


One link put together and painted black


And after about an hour I made about 5 links....here are 3 of them put together with the wire between.
The wire is about 0,2-0,3mm and will NOT be straight...so it's almost as I regret that I started on this lasermania
