"Backgrounded" my model :)

What ya think?, this is my first attempt at adding a background on any of my creations.

That looks brilliant! I really like the mud up the sides of the landy, nice job on doing the lighter dried on stuff and the darker wet mud around the arches too. One thing, can't quite see from the photos but did you mask out where the windscreen wipers go, because with that amount of mud around I'd have thought they might need to use the old windscreen washers!

Nice composition too, low angle shots of models usually really adds to the realism and it's certainly worked here! Great photoshop skills too!

Alan

Howdy Matt,

Awesome work. The dry and wet mud is perfect, the setting is perfect.
Now, did you place a "print" of the background behind the model or did you do all of this in a photo editing program?
I dabble in photo editing software and have often considered doing similar things with my aircraft but havent as of yet.
I have also been trying to get people to use the "low angle" shots in their photographs because I think it gives a more realistic view of what you would see if you were looking at the real thing.
Anyway, superb work and i look forward to more photos in the future.

Have a good day,

Greg
