| Howdy Dave, First off, welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you here. My first thought when i saw your post was to suggest that you apply a light dusting of talcum pwder to the model. This generally works well especially if you apply a "dull cote" afterwards to knock off any shinethe paint may have. Or you could first apply the "dull-cote" then while it is still "tacky", apply a light dusting of the powder. However, I thought I would also provide you with a very useful link to tips on painting, weathering etc. I have offered this site to many members here for tips but i am in no way connected with the site....its just a really useful site . So here is the link: Scale Modeling Links if you will scroll down just a little ways on that page, you will see "tips and techniques"....hopefully something in this section will help you out. If not, you can always experiment with my suggestion, i have used it in the past and it works well, especially when using Testors Dull cote to knock off any shine. i hope this helps, have a good day and welcome again, Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW) |
