Colours and camouflage

Hello everyone

I have a primed and ready to paint Tamiya Churchill Crocodile but unsure of which colour to use.

I will be in the same predicament when i have finished my Tamiya Famo transporter i have seen it in grey but i am unsure which grey would look best and which camouflage patten to use.

I have searched a few web sites they appear to look a Dark Yellow colour with a scribble type camouflage but i am not sure of the scribble colour.

Please have patience with me as i am colour blind in shades of green and brown and blues and purples.

Dave

The squiggle camo is usually Dark Yellow XF60 base and XF64 red brown with XF61 dark green. I have a SdKfz 251 with the same scheme.

The grey of the FAMO or other basic Panzer Grey is usually a variant of XF63 Panzer Grey.

These are basic references, most people make their own lightened/darkened versions of these colours to represent fading.

As for the Churchill, I'd follow the instruction guide for painting, I've no idea what the "official" British Army scheme is.

Hope this helps

Stuart
