Thumbs down Deep cleaning of airbrush

Well hello folks long time no read.
Due to moving house and resulting lack of workshop, boxes everywhere.

My airbrushes, well two, have seized up.

I have cleared them by soaking in thinners but one has a seized air valve assembly, [Badger 150]

I am reluctant to buy the whole assembly and the bits are sold seperatly,
How do I take it apart?
cannot see any join, Ken.

Here's the stuff mate: -

Badger 150 (150-1, 150-2, 150-3, 150-5) - Badger - Shesto - Suppliers of Specialist Tools...Worldwide

There should be a spanner in your kit which undos the front end (tip). The tip should then come apart from the head.

Ken, morning( well it is in south africa 0430) I had the same problem with my 200 single action a COUPLE of years back. A lot of ignorance and a little bit of brute force goes a long way. I used 2 x long nose pliers. 1 to hold the assembly and the other to grip the piece of copper/brass housing sticking out underneath and " carefully " unscrewd it. But be warned the spring comes out with a bang. I then applied some Q-20 (penetrating oil here) worked it a bit, put it back together and its still going. without any hassles. You can enter Badger 150 exploded view in Google. Follow the steps / links to see an exploded view. Hope this is of some help. If not gimme a shout and we'll take it from there.

Cheers
Terrance
