Weathering using Pastels

Whilst browsing the web looking for something else I came across this series of tutorials from an American model rail enthusiast.
Although he is weathering railway cars I thought the techniques could be applied to other modelling styles.

It is a very easy method for dirtying your models to take that new look off them.
YouTube - Weathering Rolling Stock using Artists Chalks: Part 1

Hope it is of use to someone.

Excellent Terry,Artists Pastels have become a very useful commodity for weathering models, anything that gently guides people like this is most welcome.
