Hi all,

I'm a newbie so please be patient with me...
I've just started building a Tamiya 1/48 US Tank Destroyer M10.
I've got a couple of questions on the right painting procedure.
I thought it wouldn't need a coat of primer as the plastic kit is already olive green. Thing is, it has a die-cast lower hull.
Am I right in assuming that the metal need primer before getting painted?
If that's the case, while I'm at it, I might apply the primer to the entire kit.
Also, what's the best way to apply a spray primer? I have Tamiya light grey spray primer.

Straight from the can is fine, just make a few light passes to build up the coverage and don't overdo it, because it'll swamp the detail! I use Halfords acrylic car primer like this and it works a treat!
