Anyone make a Bolkow Junior

well, that's about it... my brother pranged one whilst in an RAF flying club in the 70-s, always wanted a couple of model kits so I could do a before and after.....(Oh, he walked away... of course in his second crash, he had to climb down from treetops...)

first of all ,welcom and nice to see you
well to be honest chorley , no i haven`t , you may be lucky and soem other forum member possibly has,but it is a reasonably common aircraft and possibly an older kit/ plans set might be available. sometimes e-bay can be the place to find such models or resource materials .but i`ll have a look around and see if i can come up with anything.

p.s brothers always come of better in situations like that .

hi david

have a look HERE then select model aircraft, then electric model aircraft, then kits for "two axle control"

bolkow is the second one down, unfortunately the site wont let me place a direct link to here.
and a short review can be found Here

hope this helps

chris

Not much help I know but, remember seeing one fly at the Barnstormers meet at Liecester airfield. It was flying limbo and balloon bursting, flour bombing etc with a Tiger Moth and some other aircraft which I can't remember. Very manoeuvrable and agile as I remember. Can't say I've ever seen a flying model of it though.

Re:Bolkow Junior

Graupner models marketed a kit for this model circa 1970's typically the kits had hundreds of parts where an handful would suffice.
Nice little airplane.not the most pretty of machines but they flew well.
ARV Super 2 was said to have been designed around the Bolkow Junior.
