I have built the Fearnley Sea otter but enlarged to 1/9 scale with retracts. Not finished yet but looking good. The plans are stand off scale but it doesnt take much to correct it. Looking forward to the day it lifts off the water. At the moment it is going to be a Dutch Navy rescue aircraft. I have put a photo in my gallery.

Exbirdy, she looks great think I've mentioned I fell in love with her back in 1976 as a we lad and have wanted to build her ever since, @ the mo I'm putting the plans in to ACAD. It's been a while since I've used cad so its slow going, doing the flat bits is easy getting the fuselage to angle then twist is causing me a few probs, the ribs are not quite there yet either. Any suggestions guys would be a great help.

I've loved this plane ever since I got that issue of R.C.M.E. with the construction article in it. I started to build one as per the plan but gave up. I was based in Nowra and in our hangar was the forward fuselage of the last remaining example. I got to get a good look inside and out. Unfortunately I couldnt take any photos. As you have found , getting the fuselage of the model together is tricky. I built a jig to secure it and had to knotch the longerons to get the curve right at the bow. Requires a lot of patience.
