Hi guys.

Im going to be doing a 1/32 Hasegawa Mustang in the near future and i plan on making a diorama for it and giving it to a friend as a gift.

what i need to know is what kind of setting would a P-51 be found on the ground. what kind of missions they went on. did they go to the pasific or where they just used for dog fights and bomber escort?

any kind of info or pics that might help me creat a diorama for it. The good thing this being 1/32 is im going to be able to add lots of detail to the base...hopefully.

I'm sure you'll find tons of stuff on the net about this most famous of all US WW2 fighters. As far as I know it served in all Europe, N. Africa and the Pacific and was used by US, UK and Commonwealth forces and others after the war.

Richard, I would look into the history of the particular aircraft you are going to model and see what theatres it operated in.

If it was in a European theatre you could do anything that you would have found on an RAF base of the time but if it was in the Pacific you would be looking at a setting that included maybe an American Jeep or such.

The world is your oyster with Tamiya 1/35th armour and accesories in any area of operation.
