Lovely job there David. A nice hard used look about it and the resin bits certainly enhance it perfectly.

I do like the look of that plane as well it seems to exhude strength and power in just it's looks.

Hi David,

The Tiffie looks super. Like the faded look, unfortunatley have to brush paint mine so not sure I'll get the same effect.

What propeller did you use? Later Tiffies had the 4 blade De Havilland but I can't find an after market version. Any ideas?

Also did you change the stablisers as the later models were also built with the Tempest version.

Cheers

Exclamation

Hi,

Apologies for late reply *( on nightshift this week )

There is an limited production run of the 4 bladed version from 1998

made by Hasegawa (called 147 squadron , I think )

or you can do what I did , get the Ultracast ( Canadian Company )

it is Ultracast

This is actually far , far superior to any version by hasegawa
have a look at my pictures , for idea of how to do the Beard radiator
using Eduard and Ultracast, and Hasegawa parts all together for much more realistic version and look .

I used the hasegawa tailplane and stabilisers supplied as I didn't think it makes any real difference

The two original photos I own , have no tempest parts visible

but is up to you

any more questions please ask

or go to HyperScale - An Online Magazine for Aircraft and Armour Modellers

and look at other models

Recommend Ultracast exhausts , pilot seat and beard radiator
