| Convair B-36 Peacemaker Convair B-36 Peacemaker Have had this model on the workbench for the past month, the kit originally came from Nigel.D who swopped it for some drawings that I did for him, after about 120 hours of work the model is taking shape, just like the original the aircraft is most impressive dwarfing everything else, for its day it was a masterpiece of aviation engineering with those six pushers and four jet engines roaring away, you get a glimpse of one of these in flight in the film 'Strategic Air Command' with that brilliant actor James Stewart,a couple survive in museum's in the U.S.A and a few operated in the UK during the fifties. It is a good kit that just needs careful assembly to get the very best from it.

| Barry that is coming along nicely. I remember the day you swapped them and dad was so happy with the drawings. Im glad you are enjoying the model. When my Step brother first bought this model and made it it looked a nasty peace of work becuase of all the filling he had to do. From your pictures here it looks like it has assembled very nicely.
Regards
Char

| That's a pretty impressive model. It reminds me of when I first saw the Airfix Superfortress and I was amazed at how big it was.

| I would stick it on the ceiling because it is so big. Then again you may have a table or something that you don't use to place it on.

| A Japanese modeller built a 30 foot span control line model of the B-36,it had six pusher lawn motor conversions, and four pulse jets ! a picture appeared in of all publications the 'Daily Mirror' when I find the cutting will scan it for all to see.
