| Air Core did a series of Correx models, they were a bit lumpy in build but flew very well,a friend had a low wing machine that flew and flew and flew ! no fuel soakage just the paint would not stick and eventually it finished up all white ! Correx is a remarkable material now available in different size cores, its for free when you find a 'For Sale' sign wafting down the road, grab them they are useful.
Very light and above all strong into the bargain.
Best adhesive is Thixofix or similar contact adhesive, seal edges with Duck tape or other branded cloth builders tapes such as plasterboard tape.
Balsa strip can be keyes & glued onto the leading edges of fin, tailplane etc and then a little work with a razor plane and glasspaper finishes the job off.
The only problem with that delta would be orientation, they look as if they are flying towards you when they are flying away from you and vice versa !
Future ready to fly airplanes will be moulded from one solid piece with the servo's pushed into the foam and pushrods that fit into slots within the wings and fuselage, already there is a glider on the market that goes like a bat out of hell, like them or hate these types of model, they are here to stay,America produces a quarter scale Harvard made like this,it is light and flys like a dream.
They even build real aircraft this way now, they have developed a way of hardening the outer skin of the foam after initial build,a spar made from carbon fibre runs the entire length bonded within the structure.
Clever stuff.
