Manufacturer info?

Hello:

Does anyone have any experience with PM Models, Huma, Sharkit, Antares and Unicraft Models?

Also, most of my interest lies in the WWII German experimental stuff. Does anyone know of anymore manufacturers that cover this type of thing? I already have a few Planet Models, couple of Dragon kits.

Thanks for your info, if you have any of the above kits finished please attach some pics!

KEVIN

Howdy vise,

I have dealt with unicraft, i purchased the Global hawk UAV from them and a the bell Eagle Eye uav. Both are really nice kits, And Igor over at unicraft is a very pleasant and easy person to deal with. I am currently budling on the global hawk and will try to get some photos tonight or tomorrow , i am also working on another model, so it really depends on how far I can get on both as to when i will be able to photograph them.
But yes, unicraft is worth having a look at, they have a wide range of strange wwII german aircraft.
another site, called ANIGRAND has some nice strange models too. and they are prompt in their shipping like unicraft. However, please note that these are resin kits and it does take some time to manufacture them so you are looking at a min. of 4 weeks shipping.

Hope this helps,

greg

Wow, thanks Greg,

That list will come in quite handy. I just got back into the hobby after 20+ years and the kits that I remember building mostly were Matchbox and Revell kits. They have come quite a ways since then.
I currently deal with Squadron and Great Models in the US, however with the low US dollar I have noticed that some of the stuff that they get from Europe has just recntly gone way up in price. What was 65US for an Aries detail set a couple of months ago is now up to 89US. Really a very big bummer.
I would appreciate some pics of your kits both finished and unfinished so I can see the quality of the model.

Thanks a bunch for your quick reply and I will be looking closely at the lists you posted.

Kevin

Howdy Vise,

Yes, the cost to import over to the US is expensive and so is frieght once it gets here. I have started buying my models online direct from manufacturers like unicraft, anigrand, real space models etc.
I can only imagine what the models cost coming from europe to here in the US and then shipped back to europe or the UK. I use squadron too since i am about 4-5 hrs from them, but I have started and you should start....cutting out the middle man, use that website above and the links to the manufacturers and distributors and deal directly with them, you will atleast save the import fees two ways lol.

Have a good day,

Greg

ps: i posted the global hawk model that I finished about 30 minutes ago. its wing span is about 18-20 inches in 1:72 scale.....its a big bird for that scale.
