raised detail problem. I know, I searched!

Hello again:
Need some advice here on recreating detail for raised panel lines. Actually, I did purchase and try the dynamo tape method with rather poor results. 1. the tape really did not adhere well and kept falling off and 2. I could not for the life of me get that film off to expose the adhesive! Is there any other methods you’ve found useful in recreating raised detail? I did buy this kit to practice on but as usual fell in love with it (Airfix bf109F 1/48) due to the labor and progress!!! Thanks again, Jeff

Scribe the panel with a scalpel. This creates a furrow but raises up the plastic either side. sounds a paradox but it does work, well it does on the airliners anyhow.
Either that or don't rub down so hard after priming.
I have 5 Airfix 109's and they are pretty, and you realy cn't tell much between those and my Hasegawa, then again they are on the wall

Just don't use the kit decals, the "Leopard over Africa" is awful.
