Robert Owen Ellis was a pilot with 609 squadron flying spitfires over normandy to provide the 21st army group with air support . he was shot down and captured by the germans then interned in stalag luft 7 german prisoner of war camp, when liberated from the camp the first thing he did was go to the comendants office and took all his german files as a keep sake,
my wife still has them along with his medals and RAF wings,and log books
and all his model( airplanes ),as mentioned in my last post .
