| Do you remember ?-Performance kits. Performance kits was founded by Peter Fisher and set up its headquarters at Four Pounds avenue,Coventry circa 1956.
At that time there were a few independent manufacturers bringing out interesting ranges of balsa model kits and these were one of them, producing the kits and marketing them alongside Pete Fishers other model distributorship proved a sound business idea which included those machined speed pans for control line models, beautifully carved wooden propellers and other modelling goodies.
The range included a good mix of free flight designs, control line stunt subjects and a single scale rubber subject the De Havilland Hornet Moth biplane which I can personally testify as a good flyer.
The headquarters at Coventry soon became too small and Performance kits moved to Sandy,Beds where kit production continued well into the late sixties.
Not sure when the kit production stopped but the owner moved to France where he still designs and builds models.
