| Prototypes worth modelling-Some cantilever monoplanes. Not everyone likes struts to assemble to their models and to this end you need to search for a few that are of the cantilever type, these are the machines which have sufficent strength in their structures to be able to do without any strutting.
So my two suggestions for this particular exercise are the Helio Courier and the Hillson Praga, both types have sufficent character and ideal scale features to warrent modelling, the Courier has large broad chord wings lending itself to be built in many different scales,a tall undercarriage means that a large prop can be fitted for that ideal fourstroke engine.
The Praga has a straight centre section but tapered outboard panels with the engine cylinders poking out of the side lying horizontally, just asking to be modelled.
Clark Y wing sections would also suit these scale subjects,in both cases tail areas would probably need very little if any enlargement.
The subjects would certainly make a change from the numerous hacked to death Cubs we see on the flying fields.
