Interesting Mosquito colours.

The markings on this model De Havilland Mosquito are very interesting, they are a combination of civilian B.O.A.C airline colours on a camouflaged base colour, the reason ? well these were the famous 'Ball bearing run specials' which used to fly low level into Sweden during wartime to bring back these much needed items to build our aircraft.
Well that is one of the stories related but like a lot of subjects I dont think the full true story has been revealed for these tenuous flights.
I snapped this model last year at a local model show, very well built and I do like a bit of history attached to a subject like this.
