Ultimate Enterprise Collection

Hi all I'm Conza, a massive Star Trek fan, and I want to have one of every Enterprise from the same model manufacturer, but more importantly the same scale.

I'm also not interested in painting, I just want something I can snap together that will look 99% accurate.

I have started a couple of models from Bandai, both are great models, to my irritation they aren't the same scale, and worst of all, Bandai never made an Original Enterprise.

So for novices, there are 7 true Enterprise models (there are several more, but some for only single episodes).

The order in which I want to acquire them is this, all pictured on the left side below.

1701 (7th)

1701-D (3rd)

1701-E (1st)

1701-A (6th)

1701-B (5th)

1701-C (4th)

NX-01 (8th)

As you can see from this image there all of various sizes, so if I had all of them at roughly the same size scale (~1:1000 is where I'm aiming at the moment), then I could line them all up.

I have zero interest in the Jeff Abrams interpretation of the Enterprise.

If anyone has attempted this before, or knows of any manufacturer that makes all of them, or all of the kits to very close/ same scale, any information would be great.

Welcome to the forum Conza. I know about the square root of nothing about Star Trek or Scifi stuff, but I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction. Someone had a Voyager build going in the past week or so.

Hi Conza welcome to the forum,

There are a number of kits out there that will cover what you want with scales ranging from 1/537 to 1/350 scale but they are from different kit makers.

the more common companys are:

AMT

Polar lights

revell

but the kits from these companies are glue/paint/decal models and you stated you wanted quick easy builds.

AMT do a 3 model set you get:

1701

1701A

1701D

this is quite old now but available on ebay( but again they are glue/paint)

I suggest you have a look for star trek furuta they are small 5inch(approx 13cm) models that all ready built and they do nearly every star ship ever to show in star trek.

They even do a self destruct enterprise 1701 from star trek 3....LOL

Anyway hope this helps.

P.S yes I always wanted a collection of enterprises but I gave up when my kids destroyed my 1/350 Enterprise-A and NX-01

I am doing something similar to you but with proper gluey kits but intend to do everything Star Trek ship wise not just the enterprise, will take me years to collect and build all of these ships but to be honest I have given up on trying to match scales . A 1:350 deep space nine would be bigger than my house. Already done a few. Voyager ,ferengi marauder, romulan war bird, kazon fighter, enterprise d to name a few. Good luck with your project

try Starfleet models , there American and pricey but have all the classes of enterprise and in the same scale , they are resin kits so not difficult to put together but they do need painting and applying decals .

you could check future on evil-bay they used to do little snap together kits prepainted and I know they did every enterprise plus other clases of federation starships only thing with these are they are not to scale and are only about 4.5 cms long

hope this is of help.

I too want to do this, have the ships in the same scale. I instantly ran into a problem, I started with the E, 1:1400 then discovered that not every enterprise is in this scale, and anything smaller for the E will drastically change how it looks. There are some really tiny detailed sections (especially the windows) that for me personally will be impossible to cut out, sculpt, build etc efficiently with out it looking terrible. I have decided to just get them so they are roughly the same size and then display them in order as they are commissioned.

I've got the original AMT kits from B-E, yes including the very rare C :smiling3: and also the Polar lights Refit, with the $300 light system on its way.
With the exception of the Polar lights on there all the same scale
