Every thing is now going to put on hold and all my effort will be put into building this massive kit.

On opening the box I was confronted with three sets of sails three bags one bag with the decks two with other parts.

Three bags with premoulded ratlines.

Two instruction books one for the ship and one for the rigging.

I have a dilemma on copper color for the hull.

One is brush paint humbrol no12 which gives a bright new look.

Or I have found a spray that gives a duller not so new look so comments for this will welcome, pics are at the bottomP1010781.JPG

Here i go with the first part getting the two halves together was a nightmare as they both had large warps and i have opted for the humbrol brush on copper.

Here's the first pics one with flash on and one off.

Time for a update got ship all masked off ready for the white stripe and I have started on the deck.

The deck has had a first spray of tamiya wood deck tan and a wash of humbrol 110 wood.

Progress Update.

I have now finished the main hull painting and all the masking tape had come off.

Got the first two lower deck pieces in place and the third has been painted and given a wash of brown.

And the rear bulkhead has been painted to the best of my abilities.

Here's what I have been up to I have spent the weekend constructing the 32 canons and bases and I have gone for the gun port's open.

And I have my strip LED's for the interior lighting a bit expensive but with the added benefit it can be cut into sections and easy to wire in.

Time for more work on this build, here's how it looks so far the hull and decks are now in place and the stern has also been fixed in place.
Also I have now got the lighting in permanent place and working and I have started on the deck fittings.
