Helicopter lift Dyssymmetry.

Understanding how helicopters fly can be a very interesting subject
Dyssymmetry of lift is a complicated subject that crops up now and again, here is a simplified version to try and grasp what happens when a rotor blade turns through the air-
Anyhow, the main concept is that a faster blade can produce
more lift at a lower angle of attack, therefore, the advancing
blade requires less AOA and the retarding blade more.Equalization
of net lift is created by flapping of the blades. There is then Vne,
low rpm issues and blade stall issues to think about in relation to
the slower blade with a greater angle of attack.
There is also translational tendency to consider, when going forward.
A model helicopter reacts in exactly the same way as a full size machine, whilst modern helicopters have the rotor load dampened via hydraulic loading our models still use the patented Hiller flybar, without which our models would be far too twitchy to fly,all the flybar does is to dampen the loads transmitted from the main blades.
