Thanks for all the comments, will take all the advice on board and will let you know how I get on. (Providing the 'Alien' stowaway doesn't try to take control that is )

I do have drawings done (Even Dyeline Plans already printed) but I will hold back on these to reflect on any changes made being shown on the plans.

Great ! Agree about lift from stub wings. Big fin essential to damp yaw and counter "torque" of rotor. (not scientific term but you know what I mean). Keep us up to date, and no abduction excuses! No ideas on a fly-in then ?:

Yeah anybody for a Gyronuts UK fly-in ? I`d do it but our club is located in the Scottish Highlands....bit too far away for most folk. Suppose we could try a Scottish edition and see how it goes. Only European one I know of is in Spain. Logical place would be near the home of "Little Nellie" and gyro ace Wing Commander Ken Wallis in East Anglia.

Reymerston Hall near Dereham is Wing Commander Wallis's strip and home of 14 of his autogyro's including 'Little Nellie',nearby is Shipdham,does this mean that I will have to build a new autogyro ?
The wingco is a lovely chap,a legend in his own lifetime.

Naw! An old one would do but if you need an excuse ,yes better bring a new one too ! Seriously can we not interest some of the model mags to take an interest?

If I needed one in a hurry then I could always graft the rotors from my deceased and much lamented Gyrace onto some new stub wings and use an old trainer fuselage.
I dont see why there should not be a UK gathering of gyronuts,perhaps a letter to those people at Ross-on-Wye who organise events ?

Why not knock out a new Autogyro and bring that too, I still have the plans for Bodder's twin rotor design, always fancied doing one of those, just never got round to it..still might do yet.

PS..........If you are wondering about the BlueWave name it's because I work in Recording Studios, the modelling is a nice change to get out and about.

Yes I guessed that you were connected with the recording industry,surprising how many modellers are connected with that industry.
I am going to build a new Autogyro this winter,thinking of a modified Gyrace that looks more scale like ah la Cierva,I really miss loosing my Gyrace,next time the blades will be well bolted into the housing with dual bearings as well,also I think that your Ramin blades are a good idea and easier to make than my original spruce leading edge/balsa te variety you need a spare set anyway to take to the flying field.
Also pondering on electric for power,some have been made for electric flight but much lighter versions.
Autogyro flight is so exciting without the hassle of helicopter set up ( I fly heli as well ) and with practise they can certainly hover,and above all you can fly in stiff breeze they just love it !
Looking forward to cutting timber on one.
