    Nigel,

I have one and I am currently undecided as to what to do with it. I bought it on Ebay a couple of years ago and it was not made very well.

It has been unreliable and a pain in the rear every time I have tried it even though I have rewired the tray, put in new batteries (it had two 7.2v packs of differring Amp/hr ratings!!) new ballast pump etc etc.

Anyway I still don't know whether to cut my losses and depth charge the swine or try again to get it sorted. The last time out it threw a wobbler and backed into the side breaking and loosing a rear dive plane stay.

It cost me 300.00, which was a rip off, but I might be interested in getting some of it back. It is tatty to look at but could form the basis of a static model if someone was willing to put a lot of work into it.

Don't forget the Robbe kit is semi scale but it would take a very keen eye to determine where the compromises have been made, especially if it has been detailed nicely.

    Anyway share your thoughts.

I'm still undecided and I don't want to loose too much on it but it is my fault I spent too much in the first place so I guess if I was to get back half (150.00) I would be very tempted.

The trouble is that is a lot for a basis of a static model so I hadn't actually expected anyone to be interested and I have always though I would have to get my act together and either sort it or send it to the bottom.

    Guy,

    It's a Robbe U-47

Have a look at it in the Boats Gallery, not the latest additions with the Accurate Armour tower (That's someone elses) but my earlier postings on the water.
