Save these plans from the bin...

Hi Guys,

Im sorting through my storage room and creating much needed space when i come across a bin liner of aircraft plans. These are old, pre-80s i would say! Basically i dont build, and wont be anytime soon so if anybody wants them and can pay the postage then there yours. You have one week to respond in this thread before they go in the bin as ive too little time/space to keep them.
They are all scale plans and some are MASSIVE, over a meter across, all of them are for RC or powered flight aircraft. I will try to get a list up this evening so that people can pick and choose if need be.......

Best Wishes All
Toby

Wait a minute,I have an idea ! this is a golden chance to have a forum plans library,a list of plans could be drawn up,if anyone needs a particular drawing then it could go out on loan, used and returned to the library,I have lots of plans myself that could be added to the library, thats the suggestion it could be easily fine tuned.
We get more requests for plans than anything else, what do you think everyone ?

Barry,

One challenge could be the fact, as in Squiffy's first line, he needs the space. We may therefore need to find storage space for some of these plans that individuals do not want to keep themselves.

I think it is an excellent idea that we all record the plans we keep at home and generate a list on the site. I have a few boat ones that I could list but we need to make sure that people are aware that if we list the plans we must be preparred to either generate a copy or lend the original plan to other forum members.

It would be a valuable resource,I would be quite happy to keep a library list up to date here, this is what I was thinking of-

FSP140 Hawker Typhoon,Flying scale power 36 inches span,APS,plan location with Wonwing.

DV234 Fishing Boat,14 inches miniature,ex free plan,location with Bunkerbarge.

XS12 Minimoa glider,100 inch span soarer,location with Bluewavestudios. (Status L ) Loan 21-02-2006

Get the idea ?

PS-Sqiffys plans could form the initial basis of the library,I would be happy to store these and pay the postage to get the scheme off the ground.Plans could be added as and when available.

Sounds like a brilliant idea to me!!!

Yes space is however a problem, i dont really have the room to store them or the random bits of basla wood. I can hang on to them for a little bit while we decided what to do and how the system would work, thats no probs at all!
