I once made the Colonial Viper many years ago and did a good job of weathering the engines.

It looked quite good actually and was the first time I had made a model of a space ship look 'realistic'.

I think I had that one too... didn't it have a button on the bottom to shoot a plastic "missile" out the front?

That's the one! The windows were blacked out unfortunately so there was no internal detail but it looked very good anyway.

Howdy JayJay, et al,

Well, I know you are from the cardmodels forum, but I thought I would share these tid bits again for the benefit of the plastic modelers who might what to try their hand at a card model of a Battlestar gallactica type model.

You can find FREE downloadable (just download, then print out on card stock or cheap photo paper, cut out and assemble) cardmodels of the colonial viper and the Cylon Raider from the original series at this website:

http://jleslie48.com/gallery_models_scifi.html

Below are some photos of the completed models:

And for those of you who want a model of the gallactica herself, check out www.cardmodels.net and search for "Battlestar Gallactica" I think you might be able to find a free downloadable model of it there.

Have a good day,

Greg

Ps: Jayjay, sorry I couldnt help with any plastic kits of the Gallactica.

Still looking for plastic kit's though, so come on dig through your old dusty cupboards, even part made ones,

Cheers Jay
