Tamyia LRDG 30 cwt Chevy 1/35th

Anyone have an unwanted 1/35th LRDG Chevy kit lurking in some dusty corner. The example I built in 1977 has recently had a 'write off' type accident. So far I've trawled Ebay and just about every plastic kit supplier world wide with no success.

Howdy Barry,

First, welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you here. Now onto your question...... I personally dont have one and i looked in ebay and all i could find were collector replicas which are about 1/35th scale I am guessing) and a revell 1:76th scale model of this truck found here: Revell 1/76 LRDG 30cwt Chevrolet & Jeep - eBay (item 110226360061 end time Mar-01-08 15:57:34 PST) for 5.99 GBP and shipping of 6.99 GBP.
I know its not the scale you want, but the collectors replicas i saw sold for $127 - $135 (USD).
I didnt even know what it was you were looking for til i searched it on ebay lol, I have learned something new

Have a good day sorry i couldnt be of more help,

Greg

Thanks for trying to help from your side of the pond Greg, it's appreciated.

Unfortunately my rather shaky hands and aging eyesight can't cope with the tiny parts in the smaller scales so 1/72nd is a no no.

The truck had some sentimental value as I have a photograph of my father sitting in one somewhere in the western desert in (I think) 1941. He was not himself a member of the LRDG but had a friend who was.

I'll keep looking and all the best to you

Barry
