    Washes

Hi Alan. Welcome to the forum. A wash works best if applied over a glossy finish. It will follow the detail and hopefully stay within the lines and around edges. If the surface is matt it will just soak everything. A thin wash done twice is better than a thicker one which can obliterate the...

Does your other half ever share our hobby?

My good lady has never built one but accepts and encourages my efforts. She sometimes comes out to the shop with me and has a good look around at things, She even has a model in her office (which I built), a Motor bike she rather liked. She has her hobbies, I have mine and we both have the garden.

A good holder for the tape but watch out with it in the sun. The paper tapes get very sticky as in slimy sticky and if you have any plastic/bendy tapes they get all droopy.

    Geoff’s 1/72 Arma Hobby Hurricane Mk.I

Looking very sharp. A well detailed kit for its size. Fun starts soon. I have bowed down and ordered a set of camo masks. I have painted a dozen or so Spitfire and no problems at all. The camo on the Hurricane is very much the same. but I just couldn't get the pattern to fit!

So just a little bit of extra work then. LOL. A bit late for this build but Tamiya make some excellent micro saw blades that are paper thin and can cut out in the panel lines.

    Newbie from The Netherlands

Mijn punt was, Jakko, dat het forum een Engelstalig forum is. Een korte opmerking in een andere taal is prima, zolang de boodschap ook in het Engels wordt herhaald. Niet iedereen hier kan met Google Translate worden belaagd. :tongue-out::tongue-out2::tongue-out3:;) My point was, Jakko that the...
