Thanks Tony! I hope this comes out well. I rarely put my airplanes wheels down but would love to do a snow covered diorama. Take care.

Happy new year and starting the 1/32 Hobbyboss Spitfire

Hello all and Happy New Year! I've been itching to build more British subjects and what better way to start then the Spitfire! This kit has a lot of complexities and has given me some challenges. Beer has helped and a nice smoked Ham does pair well with this kit:hungry:

Revell 1/144 Space operations kit with orbiter.

Thank you Tony! I was really unsure as to how weathering occurs in a vacuum. These things did come back from orbit filthy.

They seem readily available but right now, the space station is very difficult due to warping. I'll make sure to post pics.

Revell 1/144 Space operations kit with orbiter.

Hello all! Although I don't really come around here too often, did you really think I'd skip posting at least one model for 2017? This is from the Revel 1/144 Shuttle with the Space operations station kit. The orbiter needs some flat, a little more wash and weathering and possibly a small bit of...

Recently discovered splattering with fine lines

Ok guys, it looks like thinning my mixture was the culprit. Also, while packing for our move back in May-June I was in such a hurry that I packed it a bit dirtier than normal. I put a new nozzle and needle in as well and now she sprays beautifully. Laurie- I also considered the medium as well...

Recently discovered splattering with fine lines

Thanks guys!! Yes, I really turned down the psi but realized that I just need my paint thinned more. I did try high, around 30psi or so or but it did the same ghosting, probably due to thickness. Thanks for the reply guys!! BTW-I did not get any notification emails....I'll check my settings.

Recently discovered splattering with fine lines

After a long while away from the hobby and one hell of a hard move this summer, I'm back. And its great to be back here! I've attached some photos of my current weird issue-A badger 105 and velocity, both fine airbrushes are giving me grief when making fine hairlines. I'm getting these "Ghost...

    Jeff's collection thus far.....

Thanks guys for the well wishes.....it's going to be a tough one seeing as though we've been here 10 years! However, it's a big move up for us and into the country- something that we've been wanting to do for a long time now. The area we are looking at is about an hour away so moving the...

Good morning all! Since we are planning on moving to a new home next year we've begun that wonderful clearing out process. I needed to dust off and condense the completed collection into these shelves. Thanks for looking! Take care, Jeff [/ATTACH]

    Airfix 1/48 Spitfire PR XIX

Yes but not if I was flying it :-).... Right about those ailerons though as I was seriously hiding from my rather depressed Mother in law this AM. I really wanted to glue, stick, photograph and refill coffee!

Hello Joe! Thank you for the complements-I think at this point in my model building I really enjoy the "clean version" :-) OK, a little weathering but I hate covering up my mistakes...Have a great rest of the day or night!
