Good Work, Some very nice stuff on there, I was particularly pleased to see the Meccano stuff too, had many hours of fun with that as a kid. In fact I still have set 4 & 4x (The two combined together made set 5) both boxed. I had them for Xmas in 1974. (The Original British made stuff too), together with the Original Meccano Steam Engine (Still working) Not sure what these would fetch now.

Regards.........Mark.

Thanks Bluewave, well if it is the 'original' upright boiler version you are talking mega-bucks,the horizontal one was introduced back in the sixties but had the bad fault of spraying hot steam over your valuable Meccano ! I have one in my collection just as an example but dont run it any more, most people fitted tin foil trays if they fitted the engine into a model.
The original steam engine was very powerful and a fine piece of engineering precision built,Mamod did the one for Meccano under contract hence the standard parts etc.
A good description appears in Bert Loves book 'Model building in Meccano & Allied constructional sets'
I have a lot more material to add there so check in now and again to see the updates.
