S/L Lady Sarah

Hello, I'm finally getting around to posting some photos of my first attempt at a scale boat with live steam. This is the Lady Sarah, which I built from a kit by Sovereign Models in the UK. It is powered by a twin cylinder steam engine from Marten, Howes and Baylis. The boiler is scratchbuilt (for the most part). The launch is now 11 years old and is being refinished before being relegated to a display case. Hope you enjoy it.

That's a beautiful looking engine and boiler, I wish I could afford something similar.

If I remember correctly when I researched it, yes, I believe so.

Thanks Scottie, the engine was pretty pricey when I purchased it, but the boiler wasn't that costly to build. Just a lot of labor involved. Really not all that difficult to build. I have a link to a site with some other model boats powered by live steam if you're interested. More pictures of the Lady Sarah and there is also an album of photos of steam powered models built by the gent who taught me about steam power.

Thank you very much for the kind words, they are much appreciated.
It is presently being refitted (without the operational steam plant) to be put in a display case.
Ken
