Sail Day at Surrey Park Model Boat Club

Hi guys

I went to the club today with 2 subs thinking it was a regular day and found that the sail day advertised for a few weeks ago, was today!
Spew aye! I left all my rag flappers at home%+#&*
It was a great day though and they had another fun race which I videod the start of. Here's a link to the video http://www.livevideo.com/video/Magpie/FD7F263792D443ED89828850D76BDB48/sail-day-with-submarines-too.aspx
There are heaps of pics for those dial up people, on my site at http://magpieyachjts.com/surrey5.html

What a couple of lovely looking boats, but what a shame you missed out taking yours.

There again, no one would know that your sub was lurking around beneath them!!

Hi Jason,

Thanks for sharing that, had a look at the video, some very fine looking boats there and a good turn out too. That looks like a great club pond you have there. Glad to see you enjoyed yourself with your subs too (Very nice looking as well I might add) You certainly had the ducks worried !!!

Just waiting for the sunnier weather to appear again here now to enjoy the same. (In My case it will be Easter before my Local Club pond Is refilled after it's winter drain and clean out)

I have one pond by me I can use now, with a population of 30 swans, they are a bit more timid now compared to when they first arrived so are used to people and the boats.

Regards......Mark

Magpie,
Were you at the Navy day a couple of weeks ago at the club? Subs and lots of Military boats. Is the owner of the Armidale Class patrol boat a local member? I'm currently building a Freemantle class but was very impressed with the Armidale.
It was a great turnout that day and worthwhile driving the 120k's to see the event - keep up the good humour!!!
