| That looks a pretty purposeful little beast!
I wonder how high it can jump out of the water! Remember the title sequence of Stingray with the Terror Fish jumping out of the water?

| That looks like fun. I don't think I would have much chance of seeing where it was going at the speed it will achieve though!
Is it one of Norbert Bruggen's hulls? The bayonet fitting looks like one of his. And is that also one of his combined pitch/depth controllers in there. I have one of them to fit to my Trafalgar but the instructions are in German and I can't make head or tail of them!

| Andrew, it based on a DreamArts hull (they are better known for ther Uboat bits). Yes the pitch depth controller is the same, borrowed from my Typhoon. English instructions here http://www.engel-modellbau.de/catalo...e3d6d9cb8254cf The SES 3 switch is to switch the depth control part on and off and to revert to just pitch. |

| we have a member who produced some 'fish' subs about that size/ scale, they were features on supermodels on discovery, they leap out of the water, barrel roll , and do all the stuff a regular sub does... - and they did it all at hi speed ( well fast for a sub)
your racing sub looks awesome, - in the same vein i think, its gonna be a handful to control but awesome fun with it !
is the bayonet seal the same as in the delta kit ? or is it produced by your fair hand ?

| Very many thanks for that info Ramesh. I already have an SES 3 switch in my bits 'n pieces box and with those instructions from Engel I should be able to get it all fitted and working. I had heard of DreamArts before but had never seen their website http://www.dream-arts.de/seiten/aktuell.html until now. There are certainly some interesting bits for the Uboat builders there. Thanks again.

Thanks, the bayonet lock came with the hull. The Delta does not have an aluminium lock, the oring is held in a goove in the the rear resin bulkhead and a small plastic twist catch holds it in place. I have to dust off my Delta kit and make a start as my winter project. I'll be building it as a camera carrier. |

| the only delta i have seen in depth ( no punn intended) is also a camera carrier, there is not a huge amount of space in francis's delta, but it carries 3 cameras- the 3 images that come back from the deep are very good...2 cameras are colour, one is black and white.....

| Well she had her first outing today and she performed very well indeed! Sorry no picture, I took the camcorder with me but it was refusing to recognise the disc. Held a steady depth through out on just the pitch controller on its own, nice rolls into turns at speed before selfrighting, Turns on a six pence too. One interesting thing is applying full rudder bring the boat to a halt sharpish, due to reverse thrust effect creater by the big rudder up close to the prop. The motor was emitting a strange smell when I opened here up and was pretty hot to touch. The ESC held up. Only problem is she is not fast enough, about 1/2 the speed on the sub on the video and I couldn't get her airborne. The pitch controller does not allow me to command full up; as the boat changes pitch the controller tries to level her out. I am going to change to Subtech APC to see it this helps. I figure I am going to need to go faster so I am pondering a brushless upgrade and more volts
