Inga 1v

Just bought a Revell Model no. B-3404 of ketch - rigged motor sailer Inga 1v. I understand that this model was also produced by Graupner and Hegi.
Unfortunately, all the paperwork is in German and if anyone can help out with English text instructions etc, I,d be most grateful.

hi Lusitano.
have you tried using the google translation service, I use it myself when I am on German E-bay. its not perfect but I get by with it.

I have an Inga marked Revel/Hegi but I have not looked the instructions yet. Its behind sone other stuff so it would take a day or so to dig it out and see what language the plans are in. I will have to get back to you on this one later.
...........cheers

Howdy lusitano,

The google language tools is a great help in translations but, as with all online translators, they leave abit to be desired with mistakes etc. And typing in german is tough too However, most flatbed scanners for home computers have OCR (Optical Character Recognition) programs that will allow you to scan the instructions then convert the text on the scanned image to a word document which you can then copy and paste into one of the online translators.
I have used this more than a few times on various things including model instructions.
Now if you have a scanner but no OCR program you can download one for free online, just search google for "Free OCR downloads", these programs are really useful tools to have on your computer. You can even scan photos with text on a sign in the background and it will convert the text on the sign in the photo to a word document for you
This may be somethng you may or may not want to try, but i thought i would let you know about it anyway

Have a good day,

Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)
