john....how comes we can not upload .gif (animations) as avitars?

is this a restriction you have put on or does the forum software just not allow them?

It's not a restriction I put on it's just an option I hadn't enabled, don't ask why I must have just missed it, I have done now and you can also upload a animated profile pic too
